Credo
Psalm
511 Have mercy on me, O God, because
of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the
stain of my sins. 2 Wash
me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. 3 For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day
and night. 4 Against you,
and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your
sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and
your judgment against me is just. 5 For I was born a
sinner— yes, from the moment my
mother conceived me. 6 But
you desire honesty from within, teaching me wisdom in my heart. 7 Purify me from my sins, and
I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Oh, give me back my joy again; you have
broken me—now let me rejoice. 9 Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain
of my guilt. 10 Create in
me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. 11 Do not banish me from your presence,
and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and
make me willing to obey you.

Televangelists, Senators, Pedophile priests! A prominant Evangelical leader struggling with homosexuality! 46% of Christian men admit to periodic or regular viewing of internet pornography! The sexual lives of many Christians are out of control! What's happening? How does this come about? What can be done to help? Ted Haggard, for instance, a great man, doing a great work, impacting great numbers of people...all the while living in the darkness of great sin. If there is one lesson that we all need to walk away with on this one, it's simply the fact that none of us are ever beyond the insidious grasp of the "unimaginable." Given the right set of pressures in the context of 1) a diminishing devotional life, 2)busyness that causes severe personal imbalance, 3) a lack of true accountability, 4) our own loneliness in the midst the crowds who surround us, and 5) the reality of a devil who wants us all to fall.....who among us is beyond the possibility of a fall? Not a single one of us!
Were there signs of a deep and intense cry for help? Maybe the casual, dismissive approach to our common struggle to do the right thing is just part of the another common problem...a lackadaisical attitude toward the armed intruder who seeks to steal, kill and destroy.
While we have to be careful to not beat ourselves up with our failures, shortcomings and/or temptations, neither can we take them too lightly. Yes, we're all human and have fallen short of the glory of God, but when we take that "gap" and its significance too lightly, it diminishes the essential perspective of how needy we really are for saving grace. Taking our own sins lightly only sets us up for a great fall.
We can never cease to be hard on sin....our own that is. This is not the time to point fingers at anyone. It's the time to establish safeguards in our lives to ensure that we don't find ourselves tumbling down the same slippery slope as our brother Haggard. And as brothers (and sisters) in the Lord, we need to be both available and accountable to one another. We need each other.
Our God is the god of restoration. We pray for Ted Haggard, his family and his church. With only love toward them and faith in the redemptive power of the Almighty, we speak "grace." And in every area where sin may abound , we're counting on "more grace." And for ourselves....nothing less.

My Brother in Christ; Is your sin
out of control? Are you living a life of compromised secrecy and defeat? Are you filled
with shame and guilt? Feeling like a hypocrite? Wanting to be victorious and faithful to God
but always failing; always falling! Resolving over and over to stop, and then fail again? And again?
Are you
being called by the Holy Spirit to make yourself accountable to a caring brother in Christ?
"If you think you can go on without any accountability, you're kidding yourself. You'll soon get in trouble like I did!" ..........Bob

Do you know you can no longer manage without some help?
Are you not in need of someone in your life with whom you can be
real and completely honest? Will it not feel a great relief to
disclose your sins and pray the Father's forgiveness with a brother
who cares for you? Would it not be wonderful to live with a clear
conscience and to have a secure walk with the Lord Jesus Christ? A number of men are using this ministry for help with addiction to pornography and masturbation and other sexual sins. They knew they needed help; and you do too! They could not walk for more than a month in victory until they arranged confidential, supportive counsel, regular accountability and confession of sin!
"One way or another; sooner or later, the Lord will not let you go on compromising your walk with Him. He exposed my sin, and it cost me a lot." ........Fred

You have thought about disclosing your struggle with sin many times, but you've been afraid of exposure and disclosure. Through this website you can have safe, trusting, confidential, biblically-oriented accountability without risking your reputation or self-esteem? Do you need to do this before you are exposed or you experience an emotional crisis? Are you putting your life and loved ones at risk of scandal and shame? Are you risking your ministry, your job, your family, your fellowship with others and with God?
"I was tired of being a phony youth leader. I just had to tell someone that I wasn't what they thought I was. The division inside was too heavy to manage anymore!" ..............Reginald

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you. Amen.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 1 John 3:3-9 |
We believe in the only true God,our Father, the almighty Creator of all things, existing eternally in three Persons. The unique divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible. We believe in the value and dignity of all people, created in the image of God but alienated from God because of sin.We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, fully human and divine, equal to the Father; who lived as a perfect example, who assumed the judgment due sinners by dying in our place, and who was bodily raised from the dead and ascended as Savior and Lord. We believe there is salvation for all who repent of their sin, realize their need for a Savior, and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We believe in the indwelling Presence and transforming power of the Holy Spirit, Who is God, the Personal Life, Love, Light and Voice of God the Father and the Son. He gives new birth to all believers and sanctifies all believers. We believe in the unity of all believers in the worshiping and witnessing church of Jesus Christ, the victorious reign and future personal return of Jesus Christ, who will judge all people with justice and mercy. By Grace alone, by Scripture alone, by Christ alone, by Faith alone, be all glory to God forever, and forever.
