Counseling Information
My counseling schedule is Tuesdays AM through Friday AM. Appointments are scheduled at 10 AM and 1:00 PM, with some accommodation to other times. The fee is $100.00 per hour and $25.00 for each additional 1/4 hour. Fees are paid in cash or by check at the end of the session. Receipts are given for insurance reimbursement. Counseling is on a short-term basis, for 3 to 6 sessions, meeting every three weeks or so. For further information or to set up an appointment it's best to E-MAIL ME!. Biography
I, Dr. William E. (Bill) Consiglio am founder and director of HOPE Ministries of CT and of ministries in Springfield, MA, and New York City. I have specialized in the work of Sexual Orientation Resolution Therapy for the last twenty years with Christian men who are managing, controlling and resolving homosexuality in a biblically faithful way.

I am the author of Homosexual No More (Regeneration Books, l99l) and No Mas Homosexual (Spanish Version, Christian Crusade), Tidak Lagi Homo; THE FORWARD PROGRAM and several articles for Christian journals. I am a former Board Member and Northeast regional coordinator for Exodus International. I received my MSW from University of Pittsburgh and the Ma.Divinity and Doctor of Divinity in pastoral counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, IN.

I was for 27 years, Associate Professor of Clinical Social Work, Southern Ct State University (retired); and am now a full-time Christian Psychotherapist; a member of the North American Assoc. of Christian Social Workers and NARTH (National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality).
I am married, with two daughters and live in Hamden, CT. where I also serve as assistant to the pastor at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bible study teacher, and professional consultant and educator to many conferences, churches and denominations on the issue of homosexuality and other sexual disorders and addictions. My counseling office is in my home at 876 Shepard Ave Hamden CT.

Sexual Orientation Resolution Therapy
Sexual Orientation Resolution Therapy (SORT) is a therapeutic approach which believes that any saved, committed and motivated Christian man is able to 'resolve" the preoccupation, obsession and confusion about homosexual feelings, desires, and behaviors, move on to either chaste and celibate maturity or heterosexual marriage, as he commits himself to the six resources of resolution:
1. A fervent, faithful, filial fellowship with God the Father through devotion and discipleship to Jesus Christ, under the guidance and power of His Holy Spirit.
2. A commitment to pursuing holiness and godliness through regular study and meditation on God's Word, The Bible; daily prayer and worship, and service to others.
3. Participation in a Bible believing and teaching church community in which he can experience genuine growth, nurturance, acceptance, belonging and participation.
4. On-going therapeutic professional counseling in SORT.
5. A relationship/friendship of accountability and support with both same-gender and opposite gender Christians.
6. Attendance at a support group for 'overcomers".

As a therapeutic approach, SORT enables a man to resolve past conflicts, renew the four important relationships of life with God, others, self and work/vocation/avocation, enabling him to gain sexual self-control, improved self-esteem, sexual maturity, gender security and emotional maturity.

Take right on Rt 10 to third light (Dunkin Donuts, White Cong. Church). Take left onto Sherman ave for 1 and ? miles till you come to the only Stop Sign. Take right and immediately you come to corner of Sherman and Shepard Aves, (Lutheran Church where HOPE Ministry meetings are held -600 Shepard Ave, YMCA, Animal Hosp.). From Merrit Parkway coming from NYC . Off at exit 60 go left under pakwy. Past Hamden High School and shopping centers on left. Look for light at Skiff Street. After light at Skiff St. fork left to beginning of Shepard. Look for 600 Shepard on your left at third light for Christ Lutheran Church with "Leaning Cross" Markee.
